Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer to paper towel-lined plate.
  3. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic in the bacon grease for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet, cooking for 6-8 minutes until browned. Drain excess grease.
  5. Stir the cooked bacon back into the beef mixture and let cool for about 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  7. Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish and spread the beef and bacon mixture evenly in the bottom.
  8. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  9. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
  10. Top with the remaining cup of cheddar cheese.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and set.
  12. Let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and diced tomatoes if desired.
